The mojito is a one of the cocktails that everybody knows and (probably) loves. We are going to teach you how to prepare your own Mojito and never have to depend or wait on a bartender to prepare you that delicious cocktail.

Don’t want to wait on your waiter or bartender to serve you that tasty Mojito? You’re in luck, we are going to teach you how to Do It Yourself (D.I.Y.)! There are three steps in preparing a great cocktail. Step one, get the right ingredients. Step two, use the right cocktail tools. And step three, mix it all together and enjoy the cocktail you have made yourself!

Step one: Ingredients

  • Rum (60 ml / 2.02 fl. oz.)
  • 1 lime
  • 3 teaspoons sugar
  • Mint
  • Crushed ice
  • Soda water

Step two: Cocktail tools

Step three: Mix it and enjoy it

  • Cut a lime in half and squeeze the juice of one half in a High Ball Glass (Long Drink) and place the other half in the glass
  • Add three teaspoons of sugar and 4 twigs of mint
  • Muddle everything. Keep the leaves all in one piece. This is best done with a muddler.
  • Fill the glass with crushed ice and add rum
  • Stir it well. This can be done with a straw, tea spoon or best with a bar spoon.
  • Top the glass off with soda water
  • Garnish the drink with some mint leaves.
  • Enjoy your poquito de Mojito!
